King Kong

Welcome to the first of a series of coins of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica emerald. His infinite colors are lush green you've never seen. I came here for 20 years as an independent wildlife photographer. Primates are my specialty and Costa Rica has 4 species. Ma passion for apes and monkeys began when King Kong first stole my heart at the forefront of the Jewel Theater in Los Angeles before my feet hit the ground. Since my first trip to Costa Rica, I dreamed of living one day at the beach with monkeys in my backyard. I moved here 5 years ago and now enjoy daily visits from 3 species of monkeys.
The road less traveled has been my goal for over 30 years. My most memorable experiences were the next to a kindergarten or an expatriate. I stayed at the home of a Sherpa in the Himalayas, slept in a hammock in an Amazon village and ate the roasted crickets and silkworms to a foreign friend in a booth on the road in Thailand. Do not ask me how it tasted. My memory is only the texture, crispy outside, creamy inside.
Now, I suggest you not to eat insects on your next vacation. It is simply to illustrate the very different travel experience you have. I was lucky enough to have a friend or make friends in every place he liked to show me what was hidden in the blank between the lines of the best guides. My mission through these sections is to be that person for you – one that leaves you feeling that you've seen the "real" Manuel Antonio. My music is mainly wildlife to nightlife – others will be inspired by your questions or comments.
If you have never been Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is the perfect introduction. Does your national park, beautiful beaches, breathtaking views, abundant rain forests, wildlife, great choice of restaurants, live music and views enough, activities and services to keep you entertained for a month. If you are planning a return trip, but have not yet visited Manuel Antonio is a must-make. I love it here.
Part of this love comes from the national currency, "Pura Vida". It reflects on the meaning of living a pure life. In terms of Bob Marley, "Do not worry, be happy." Costa Rica is ranked No. 1 in the happiest country in the world, a new report a group nonprofit British New Economics Foundation.
