Marimba sticks What can I expect?
Yesterday, I broke the mallet marimba, but okay, I want any of the ways. I intend to get 4, and I'm in the marching band, but also to use for the concert, so I guess that would be the best medium hardness. Ideas? Oh, and that the loops are best? Birch? Fiberglass? Ect.
A level is not sufficient for the use of concert and marching bands. You want the MB hard so that the sound is as far as possible, but at the concert, would require a different level for different parts. I played a marimba High School Drumline and uses three different levels a unique spectacle.
