Against Empire

December 7, 1941. This date has been permanently etched in the memory of a generation and more than 65 years later, still remains one of the more dates notorious in American history.
It was the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and a day that changed the world forever. Just before 8 am, a group of Japanese planes approached the naval base of mistrust. They arrived without warning and without a formal declaration of war.
When the plane landed at the U.S. base, they have unleashed a fury of fire that quickly parked half sunk battleships at Pearl Harbor. The attack was brief, but very effective. Japanese Zero Bombardier planes were fast as lightning and heavily armed.
The U.S. has lost over 2,000 people in the brutal attack. More than 1,200 were injured. Assault consisted of two distinct groups of Japanese bombers which damaged or destroyed many U.S. ships, aircraft and equipment.
This attack was intended to deter the United States declared war on the Japanese empire. It had the opposite effect. Although Pearl Harbor was a warning to the United States to ignore the aggression Japan, Germany and Italy, unified and motivated events across the country to participate.
The Japanese attack U.S. forces weakened, but strengthened determination. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt proclaimed on 7 December is a day that will live in infamy, and Congress declared war on the Japanese empire. Our soldiers answered the call and prepared for battle.
On 11 December, Japan's allies, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. This has plunged the United States directly in the Second World War. Within four years, war would have ended the power of Japan and other Axis Delivery. America emerged victorious.
In PeopleFinders, remember the attack on Pearl Harbor with reverence, and we are proud to salute the brave men and women who went to war their country … then and now. We thank all those who served their country for their commitment, sacrifice and tireless defense of our way of life.
Always remember December 7, 1941. Not only because of the terrible attack, but the next day when the U.S. has shown that we would not be intimidated, we would not run and fight for the freedom we hold so dear. Stay strong, America!

Evil Empire $4.99 As the vitriol spewed from Evil Empire, Rage Against the Machine’s long-awaited follow up to their 1993 debut owes much to Chuck D.’s polemic fury and rapid-fire urgency–though as always the band rages without hip-hop machinery in favor of the heavy-duty power tools of rock. But no matter if Rage against the Machine amounts to revolutionary rap, protest metal, or a combination of the two, the ban… |
