Story of the Year is a band based in St. Louis, Missouri, and is currently producing songs later this year.
Band history
In 1995, four members – Ryan Phillips, Greg Haupt, Adam Russell, Dan Marsala and grouped to form Big Blue Monkey. For seven consecutive years, have been conducting as a local group, while the release of three EPs during the period in his third EP entitled History of the year and this name has led the group to change its name the band with the name after discovering a blues band has the same name.
During the transition, Greg Haupt left the band, while Philip Sneed is took charge of handling the guitar and other roles, including singing, piano and keyboards. Dan Marsala used to be the drummer for Big Blue Monkey assumed the role of voice and a new member – Josh Willis has joined as the new drummer and percussionist. Since the group is kept together.
Studio Albums Released
In 2002, story of the year had new goals while trying to reach the public signing a contract with Maverick Records, so they can go to record their first album – Page Avenue a year next. Dan Marsala wrote and sang the first single from this album – "Until the day I die", and was broadcast by several radio stations to help worldwide sales totaling more than 1,000 at the time. One of the singles of this album – "And the Hero Will Drown" even makes the popular Need for Speed: Underground EA's title as a piece of music. It was the second single – "Anthem of Our Dying Day", which won the most success.
Before the launch of its second album, a collection of videos on their tour and live performances was released on CD entitled "Live in / Lou Bassassins" which was hailed by fans. That same year, in late 2005, following the decision "was his claim that his second album, although not as successful, but always maintained a position the Billboard 200 at number 19. The following year, Story of the Year went to support bands Flogging Molly and Emery in Australia and New Zealand for a ride.
No much has been heard about the story until 2008, when the Page Avenue producer John Feldmann returned to "The Black Swan. History of the Year signed with Epitaph Records and went forward, while ending their relationship with Maverick Records.
BAND MERCHANDISE
Due to its popularity gained through extensive successful tours and albums, the official history of Year of goods was done then. Story of the Year is currently sold merch at different online stores, including rockmerch body and clothing.
Success
Page Avenue is their most popular album with three of his singles to make the 50 tracks on Hot Modern Rock 2004.
Current Time
Story of the Year recently covered a song "Just Close Your Eyes", which was previously used for the control music superstar Christian entry. The following month, in March 2009, the band shot a video for his song "Fear", where history based on the letter.
